Current Teaching Series - Take The Land!!!
Take The Land The story of Joshua is appropriate for the season we are entering. As God has led us to purchase land and build upon it, we can lean upon the truths discovered in the story of Joshua. Let us witness how God led them. Let us learn from their failures. And let us be strong and courageous as we step forward into that which we believe has directed us. Come and discover that the promise God has given us in not about a building. Rather, it is about something even greater, a truth that is eternal, and a result that will glorify God in a mighty way. Let us take the land God has prepared for us.

Guest Speaker: Pastor Eddie Pullen - God is Great, I am Not
God Is Great For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin. Romans 7:15-25

Ready For Battle
Take The Land Over the last decade, war has sadly become a norm in our lives. It's almost impossible to turn on the news and not see images of war going on somewhere in our world. But did you know that believers are in a war too? It's not a war against other people or another nation, but it is just as real. Through this series, we will discover who our enemy is, what he looks like, what he wants to do, and how we should respond. Come discover what victory looks like and how we are to go forward in this war.

Identifying Your Role
Chase for the Crown
Chase for the Crown Have you ever thought, "if I could just get_________, then my life would be better, satisfied, complete." Everyone is in pursuit of that one thing that is going to bring fulfillment to their life. We may label it differently; money, power, sex, influence... But we are all chasing after it. In this series, we will discover how those things have become the crowns of our life and what we must do to lay those crowns aside and give the crown to the only One who is able to give life.

The Cradle to the Cross
The Cradle to the Cross When we think of Christmas, images of the manger, the wise men, and the star abound. And while we focus on the birth of Christ, what is often overlooked is the purpose of His birth. It is not the miraculous nature of His birth. It's not the precious gifts that were given. It's not that Herod wanted to destroy Him. The focus is that God did what He said He would do. That our King, our Savior entered human history on a mission to save people from their sins. Come discover how the shadow of the cross is evident in the light of the manger.

Intimate Conversations
Intimate Conversations One of the main ingredients that contributes to broken fellowship is a breakdown in communication. Either it has completely ceased or there is mis-communication happening. And this is not just true of our earthly relationships, but with our heavenly Father as well. In this series, we will uncover the gift of prayer that God has given to us by looking at the how Jesus prayed and taught us to pray.

The Toxic Life
The Toxic Life Everyone who see the "hazardous materials" sticker or poisonous "skull & bones" reacts the same: Run and avoid at all costs. But when it comes to our daily routine and the thoughts we allow to cloud our mind, we don't have the same reaction. In fact, most of us believe we are ok with just a little bit of toxic sin in our life. But it is absolutely destroying us. Discover how to identify what potential poisons you are allowing to kill you and what you can do to gain victory over them.

Boomerang God
Boomerang God One of the greatest deceptions that Satan has ever pulled on people is that once you have messed up... there is nothing that can make you right with God. In one aspect, there is nothing that you can do to make you right with God. There is nothing that we can do to close the gap that sin has caused between us and God. But that is where the glory of the Gospel rests: That Jesus came to seek and save those who are lost and far off. The truth is that we don't have to attempt to close the gap. Rather, God has already done what is needed to restore our relationship with Him. Come and discover through this series that no matter how far you have run, no matter what you have done, no matter how far you have tried to push God away, we truly have a God that always returns, and always offers forgiveness and mercy.

I AM As the church, we love because Jesus told us to. We serve because He told us to. We give and sacrifice because He exemplified how we are to do that. You get the picture. But why should we do what Jesus says? What makes His teaching, His example, and His truth so much greater than any other person who has lived? Rather than just taking a pastor's word for it, a friend's instruction on it, or our parent's leading in it, let's see what Jesus had to say about Himself. Come and discover who this Jesus is and what He meant when He said "I AM."

Family Matters
Family Matters We may hear that the family matters, but what does that really mean? The family was the 1st institution given by God. It is through a family that God chose to bless the nations. And it is through the family that God has initiated the greatest call: to take the Gospel to the nations. This series takes a look at some of the different matters of the family so that we can truly be a family that matters. A family that reflects the Gospel of Jesus to each other and to the World.

Copy Cat
Copy Cat When we were children, we learned games like Simon Says, follow the Leader, and others like those. As we have gotten older, we have let those childish games go and taken on the mantra that I need to figure this life out on my own. But that is not what we have been told by God. In fact, the church is not supposed to just figure out how to live, be, and do on our own. We have a great leader who has given us explicit direction and is the greatest example of how we are to live and what we are to do. This series is not about finding our own identity, but discovering the identity of Christ and copying that!

Life Stinks
Life Stinks Ever felt like you were just caught up in the rat race. Just living day to day with no goal, no purpose, and no end in sight to the monotony. You're not alone. The Bible records the story of a man who was the wisest to ever live, the richest to ever live, and the most powerful. And he came to the same conclusion... that life is meaningless. But there is a glimmer of hope. Jesus said He came not only to give us a new life, but one that is abundant and vibrant. Come and learn how this guy who had everything this world can give felt the same as you, but eventually discovered the true purpose of this life.

And the lie is that as long as we keep them hidden, we are ok. However, these sins we keep secret are not protecting us, but rather pulling us into further bondage. Step (2013 Vision Sunday Sermon)
Step 2012 One of the harshest tools Satan uses on believers is fear. Fear grips you, paralyzes you, and renders you useless. The great thing is that God understands this and has empowered you. The Spirit that indwells us is one of power. One that enables us to move forward into great and mighty ways for His Kingdom. So let us STEP out of the fear that grips us... let us STEP through faith where He is leading and... let us STEP into the future He has designed for us.
Tis The Season
Tis The Season Christmas is a special time of year. A time where we gather with family and friends, celebrate relationships, and exchange gifts. It's the time of year when we remember the birth of Christ. But God's gift to us wasn't just a baby. The gift wasn't just that Jesus would come. The gift is so much more. The gift is what Jesus would grow up to do and enable us to do as well. And that why, we remember that "Tis the Season for..."

Lil White Lies
Lil White Lies When people think that we can't handle the truth, they tell us what they think will appease us or make us feel better. But when they are stripped down, they are nothing more than lil white lies. And if we are never untwisted from these lies, they begin to take root and cement themselves. So much so that we not only believe these lies, but we live them and teach them to others. Let's see what the Scriptures have to say about these twisted claims and the truth we really need to cling to.

Radical Searching for "the best deal" has become so ingrained in our culture that game shows have been built around it, travel sites have banked off it, and extreme couponing has be born from it. And it is wise to be a good steward of what you have and not to spend foolishly. However, have we taken this same concept and applied it to Christianity? Are we attempting to make a deal with God to get salvation on our terms? Have we molded the truth to fit our ideology, our wants, and out dreams rather than allowing the Gospel to mold us to the God's desire for our life? "Radical" is about looking at exactly what Jesus said and letting it say what it says and seeking for what our proper response to that truth needs to be.

Old School Matthew 7:13-14 "Enter by the narrow gate, for the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life and those who find it are few."

The Story

It's too big to understand all of it, it's too difficult to comprehend, or it's just too much. Whatever the excuse, this results in misconceptions and wrong assumptions about it. But book is different than any other because it is living and active. We don't just read it, it reads us. Join us as we open The Story and discover the power of it, the purpose of it, the Hero of it, and how we are to respond to it.

Old School
Old School For many, there is a great divide between the Old Testament and the New Testament. As if the New Testament is all the applies to the believer today. But ALL of Scripture is God's Word. And while we see some great commands and callings that the Lord has placed in the life of the believer in the New Testament, some of them are as old as the earliest writings. Come as we go Old School and discover what it looks like in the life of a believer to be set apart. And not just set apart, but set apart for His glory.
